"Momentos" is an installation presented by Studio MEMM at the Time Space Existence exhibition, part of the official program of the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale (Italy). Displaced at Palazzo Mora from May 10 to November 23, 2025, the project draws inspiration from the book Last Essays and the Infinity of Architecture, by Marcelo Macedo. Inviting the viewer for a reflection on the role of writing in contemporary architectural practice. In a world marked by speed and information overload, the exhibition offers a thoughtful and critical pause.
The installation unfolds in two stages:
The first, a moment of discovery, presents floating words reflected in mirrors, creating a visual interplay that questions our overstimulated reality.
The second moment invites deeper immersion, where visitors interact with space in a more intuitive way—highlighting that architecture goes beyond aesthetics; it is theory, experience, and memory. Writing emerges not as a record but as an active material in shaping architectural thought.
With “Momentos,” Studio MEMM reaffirms its signature approach, where theory and sensitivity precede form. The installation gives physical expression to the principles that guide the studio's work: time as raw material, writing as a tool for innovation, and space as a medium for transmitting knowledge across generations.
