The AEG Residence was born from a clear desire expressed by its residents: to live in constant proximity to nature. Even though the house is located within a residential community — where greenery is present in a more controlled way — the project seeks to bring that sense of lush vegetation into the heart of the home, ensuring that the experience of living is always intertwined with natural elements.
The sloping site posed a challenge but also offered an opportunity. The clients envisioned a single-storey residence, designed for horizontal living, where daily life could unfold fluidly on one level. To achieve this, the project organizes nearly the entire program on the main floor, while secondary areas extend down to the lower garden, reinforcing the integration between architecture and landscape.
The spatial layout unfolds across two parallel pavilions connected by a transversal walkway that also serves as a circulation axis. This passage guides visitors from the entrance to the back of the property, gradually revealing a series of relationships with interior gardens and the surrounding landscape beyond. At the heart of the house, a generous courtyard gathers the living area, dining spaces, pool, and spa, forming a vibrant nucleus of domestic life — a place for gathering, leisure, and contemplation.
