Apartment AEG is located on the 20th floor of a building near Ibirapuera Park in São Paulo, this apartment opens onto the city with wide, generous views. From this premise—the availability of a horizon—the project was conceived to value both contemplation and conviviality, offering spatial solutions that navigate between intimacy and shared living.

The primary focus of the interior design was the apartment’s social area, the heart of the family’s daily life and the main setting for gatherings. The design sought to create an environment that could adapt to the family’s rhythms: moments when complete integration between the living, dining, and media areas is desired, and others when privacy, focus, or intimacy become essential.

This flexibility is made possible through pivoting wooden panels that articulate the spaces with elegance and fluidity. When closed, they define visual boundaries and create a more intimate atmosphere. When open, they dissolve spatial limits and expand the perception of space, offering a sense of continuity and openness.

The wood used in the panels—with its pronounced grain and natural finish—stands as one of the main protagonists of the composition. It interacts harmoniously with carefully selected stone surfaces, textured wallpaper, and earth-toned fabrics that warm the color palette and bring a sense of comfort.

A touch of contrast is introduced through the presence of metallic elements—light fixtures, furniture details, and hardware—that add brightness and reflect the natural light that fills the apartment throughout the day. The result is a sophisticated yet subtle ambiance. A balance between natural and urban, between the permanent and the transformable.

Above all, this project is architecture conceived to accompany the rhythms of home: the busy days and the quiet moments. A space that welcomes with elegance, without compromising functionality. A home where time can slow down.
